Equity Creative has new digs.

May 10, 2014

Continuing to grow is one of Equity Creative’s long-term company goals. Having doubled its revenue since 2011 and with expectations for future hires, it was important for the marketing and communications agency to expand beyond it’s 4,500-square-foot space in the Business Park of Kenosha.

Renovation is now complete on a 7,000-square-foot expansion.

“We’ve basically taken over the space next door,” says Executive Creative Director and Partner, Dean Helmke. “We’ve added more work stations. Employees now have space to perform photography and video production. We’ve created common areas for meetings, collaboration and ideation.”

Designed to bring the great outdoors indoors, the new space incorporates earthy, organic materials like cedar wood, dry stack ledger stone and hot-rolled steel to lend warmth to the environment. A sprinkling of AstroTurf adds a welcoming “patio feel” to the structure-within-a-structure design.

Elongated windows exploit natural light while an elevated conference room creates interesting sightlines throughout the natural environment. Tall tables with chairs and communal workstations are scattered throughout the workplace.

“Most great ideas don’t happen in the structured confines of a conference room. We needed a space that would encourage spontaneous meetings, impromptu conversations and shared ideas,” says Helmke. “The fact we now have a warm, open space that’s accessible to everyone and conducive to collaboration is inspirational to our employees.”

Let the inspiration begin.
