Challenge

Through generous one-time donations, the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha was able to build a new state-of-the-art facility. And although the new building opened its doors in 2012, it wasn’t able to realize its potential by offering the staff, resources and programs required to support up to 2,000 more kids. Additional revenue was needed if the property was going to be used to its fullest by reaching all the children that can be helped. The facility needed a wider donor base with expanded funding from both the public and private sector.

Solution

A Text to Donate campaign was created complete with videos designed for multiple communication channels, including television, social media and corporate fundraising events. As stories of human interest these emotionally charged narratives introduced potential donors to the boys and girls who have been helped by the club, as well as the “missing pieces” – those kids who have been left behind. The work set the stage for increased donations from across the board – donations that will continue to help the club reach its full capacity.
