Cream City Base Ball Foundation
By entertaining and interacting with fans, the Cream City Base Ball Foundation teaches the values, history and customs of vintage baseball to kids, seniors and those with special needs. With virtually no brand awareness, this non-profit needed some human interest to earn them the recognition they deserved. It was the bottom of the ninth. The challenge was to hit one home with media donated by the Partners for Humanity program.
To communicate the values the Cream City Base Ball Foundation embraces, we turned to a time-honored concept – the throwback. While the term is associated today with alternate jerseys and major league promo nights, to the foundation it represents something more: giving back to the community. Our pro bono effort resulted in a successful print ad and additional assets for use on the foundation's website and in other communications materials.
